Job summary

Polaris Education is seeking a SEN Class Teacher for Kinver School in Kinver, Stourbridge. The role is full-time, term-time only, with 37.5 hours per week.

The successful candidate will plan and deliver lessons under the national curriculum, supporting pupils with complex SEMH needs and maintaining a positive learning environment. The post requires QTS and a degree-level education, experience in SEMH settings, and good behaviour management.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status and a degree-level education.
• Experience teaching and supporting pupils with SEMH in educational settings.
• Experience with behaviour management techniques.
• Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check before starting.
• Committed to continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons within the national curriculum while addressing SEMH needs.
• Support the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviours.
• Report on pupils' progress and liaise with staff to ensure needs are met; communicate concerns.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom time including activities and trips.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to drive learning outcomes.
