Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting for a SEN Care Worker to join a SEN School in Newark on a long-term basis starting in September. The role is temporary and focused on supporting pupils with additional needs in a nurturing school environment.

Ideal candidates will have experience in care, support work, SEN or education, with a patient and compassionate approach. You will work with teachers, therapists and support staff to provide consistent, dignified care and promote independence.

Qualifications

• Experience in care, support work, SEN or education settings.
• Comfortable providing personal and intimate care.
• Patient, empathetic and compassionate with children.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Able to work with safeguarding and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal and intimate care to pupils per care plans.
• Support with toileting, changing, dressing, hygiene.
• Promote day-to-day wellbeing and independence.
• Support pupils with complex needs and additional needs.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and EHCP-related plans.
