SENCare Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a part-time Buddy/Teaching Assistant to support a 13-year-old with an EHCP in a mainstream secondary school in the B80 area of Warwickshire. The role involves after-school support from 1:10pm onwards, 15–17 hours weekly, with varied days per week.

The ideal candidate is active, patient and engaging, able to build a positive relationship and help manage fatigue, sensory needs and routines while promoting wellbeing and independence.

Formación

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN
• Experience with brain injury, sensory needs or emotional difficulties
• Personable, reliable and enjoys working with young people

Responsabilidades

• Collecting him from school and providing support until 5pm.
• Offering companionship, encouragement and emotional support.
• Helping him manage fatigue, sensory needs and daily routines.
• Encouraging participation in activities, particularly sports and hobbies.
• Promoting confidence, independence and general wellbeing.
• Providing a calm, understanding and supportive environment
