Duties as SEN 121 Teaching Assistant:

1. Provide 1:1 support to a named pupil with SEND (in-class and during interventions)
2. Adapt learning tasks and strategies to meet the pupil’s individual needs
3. Help promote independence, social skills, and emotional regulation
4. Monitor progress and contribute to assessments and support plans
5. Work in partnership with the class teacher, SENDCo, and external agencies
6. Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

Ideal SEN 121 Teaching Assistant:

• Experience working with children with SEND (desirable but not essential)
• A calm, flexible, and positive attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child development
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 TA or SEND qualifications) are an advantage
