Job summary

Engage Education is seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant in Rochdale to provide tailored 1:1 and small-group SEN support for children with complex learning needs throughout the academic year.

This full-time, term-time role runs Monday to Friday from September 2026 to July 2027, with a daily rate of £90-£95 and access to online CPD courses; progression to a permanent position may be possible upon course completion.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in any capacity.
• Qualifications in Psychology, Education Studies or Neuroscience desirable.
• Open to full-time work starting September 2026.

Responsibilities

• Conducting specifically tailored 1:1 and small-group support for children with SEN.
• Creating warm and inspiring atmosphere for children throughout the school day.
• Creating and sustaining meaningful rapport with students.
• Communicating with colleagues and reporting to the school SENCO.
• Located in one Rochdale secondary school for the full academic year.
