Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Specialist Support Assistant for King Edward VI College in Nuneaton. The role runs from Monday 2nd November to Friday 18th December 2026, offering 1:1 support to students aged 16-18 with SEN.

Hours: Mon, Tue, Thu 8:30am–4:30pm; Wed/Fri 8:30am–2:45pm. Desirable TA/SEN qualification; experience with SEN and 1:1 support preferred. PAYE rates £100–£120 per day.

Qualifications

• 1:1 support experience with students with SEN.
• Experience adapting learning activities to individual needs.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with students and staff.
• Patient, caring and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to students aged 16-18.
• Help students engage with classroom activities and learning.
• Support development of independence and confidence.
• Follow school procedures and safeguarding requirements.
