Job summary

Bright Horizons Southampton Nursling Day Nursery and Pre School is seeking an Early Years Assistant to join our Southampton Nursling nursery. You will look after babies and children up to age 5, supporting development through interactive play, reading, and activities, with 1:1 SEN support when needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential.
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with colleagues and parents.
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults.
• Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children; enhanced DBS checks required.

Responsibilities

• Look after babies and children up to age 5 as part of a team.
• Engage in interactive play, activities, and reading to support development.
• Support colleagues with each child’s development towards key milestones.
