Job summary

Bright Horizons Southampton Nursling Day Nursery and Pre School is seeking an Early Years Assistant to join a caring team caring for babies and children up to age 5. You will support development through interactive play, reading, and stimulating activities, while working with colleagues and families.

Experience with children is valued; DBS checks and safeguarding are essential. The role offers a flexible schedule with the potential to negotiate hours and days at interview.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children is ideal but not essential.
• Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny or Childminder experience considered.
• Safeguarding and welfare of children; enhanced DBS checks are standard and safer recruitment practices apply.

Responsibilities

• Look after babies and children up to age 5 as part of a supportive team.
• Engage children in interactive play, activities, reading, and exploration.
• Support development towards key milestones and collaborate with colleagues and parents.
