Job summary

Octric Semiconductors Ltd is seeking a Process Engineering Technician for our Newton Aycliffe manufacturing facility. The role supports engineering tasks across established and new processes, with shift-based coverage to provide troubleshooting and development work.

The position requires experience in high‑volume semiconductor environments, together with strong analytical, problem‑solving and SPC knowledge, and a proactive, team‑oriented approach. Training and safety culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability.
• Understanding of statistical process control techniques.
• Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication principles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure engineering principles and procedures are followed in fabrication and test areas.
• Respond to out‑of‑control events and assist disposition.
• On‑shift containment, investigation, diagnosis & resolution of process and wafer test issues.
• Liaises with shift supervisor to align production priorities with urgency.
• Contribute to training of Operators and fellow technicians.
• Monitor, update and present status of production processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase yield and reduce costs.
• Provide feedback to ensure continuity across shifts.
• Work with other teams to introduce new processes quickly and stabilize yields.
• Support safety and ISO14001 environmental culture.
