Job summary

Huawei Research and Development UK Limited is offering a 12-month temp role in an on-site cleanroom manufacturing environment in Ipswich. The role focuses on handling semiconductor materials and operating Fab/Test equipment in controlled conditions, with full training provided.

You will join a small cell (4-8 people) within the production flow, working across shifts to meet quality and safety standards. This position requires eligibility to live and work in the UK and a proactive,

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a manufacturing and/or cleanroom environment.
• Experience of operating machinery or carrying out technical processes.
• Good attention to detail.
• Experience of applying a quality standard to your work.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) – able to enter data into the manufacturing system and interpret data to identify issues

Responsibilities

• Operating tools to process material through the manufacturing stage per SOP, meeting cycle-time targets.
• Operating Fab/Test Equipment including optical vision systems and chemicals.
• Carrying out quality inspections with strong attention to detail.
• Identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and safety.
• Completing documentation and collating data on processes.
• Recording metrology data using SPC systems.
• Cleanroom gowning and PPE; some roles near chemicals.
