Job summary

AMS is hiring for Semi-Skilled Operator positions at our Derby facility on initial 12-month contracts. We welcome applicants with transferrable skills and a hands-on approach to machining, inspecting, chemical processing, blasting or polishing.

Responsibilities include following technical instructions, maintaining documentation, adapting to production schedules, and complying with Health, Safety and Environmental procedures to ensure a safe workplace and high quality output.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in machining, inspecting, chemical processing, blasting or polishing.
• Attention to detail and quality control essential in related industries.

Responsibilities

• Using hands-on experience in machining, inspecting, chemical processing, blasting or polishing.
• Follow technical instructions and records with attention to detail while documenting using basic computer literacy.
• Adapt to changing operational demands and support production needs.
• Work across a 2–3 shift pattern to support production schedules and continuity.
• Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental procedures to ensure a safe workplace.
