Job summary

Advantage Resourcing UK Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented Semi Skilled Operator for our Greater Manchester site. You will remove lugs and burrs from thin-gauge sheet metal to tight tolerances, using hand tools and finishing equipment.

The role covers manual deburring, 5S workplace practices, and strict adherence to safety protocols in a high-precision manufacturing environment. A steady hand and strong dexterity are essential. Training provided; full-time permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Experience in manual deburring and metal finishing within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and process sheets.
• Proficient with fly presses, orbital sanders, hand files, and hand tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• De-lug and deburr metal components using hand tools, files, orbital sanders and fly presses.
• Work predominantly with thin-gauge aluminium (~90% of workload) requiring careful handling to preserve finish and integrity.
• Perform close-tolerance, high-quality finishing work in accordance with engineering drawings and written work instructions.
• Strictly adhere to site safety protocols and actively participate in maintaining established 5S workplace organisation standards.
