Job summary

A temporary staffing agency is seeking a Welders Mate to assist with moving welding tents and preparing pipework for welders at a construction site in North East England. The successful candidate will have experience as a welders mate, familiarity with hand tools, and must hold a valid CSCS card. This role provides a competitive hourly wage and is expected to last for 6 months with potential for weekend work once proven.

Qualifications

• Experience required as a welders mate.
• Ability to use grinders and hand tools.
• Must possess a valid CSCS card.

Responsibilities

• Move welding tents as welders move across the pipeline.
• Tape up tents and put curtains back up when repositioned.
• Prep the pipework using a grinder.

Job description

£15.38 per hour + £1.85 holiday pay per hour.

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months

Hours: Monday to Friday 07:00-18:00/ Weekends once proven.

The Role

• Moving the welding tents as the welders move across the pipeline
• Tape up the tents and put the curtains back up when the tent is repositioned
• Prep the pipework - will need to use a grinder to prep the pipework for the welders
• They will need to then wrap the pipework with bitumen rubber wraps
