Job summary

W Talent Finance is partnering with a well-established accountancy firm in Huddersfield to appoint a Semi Senior Accountant. You will support the Accounting & Business Advisory team, handling statutory financial statements, management accounts, and personal tax returns while building client relationships.

Ideal candidates will be AAT qualified or studying ACA/ACCA, with 2–3 years UK practice experience and familiarity with Xero/QuickBooks; Iris knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or studying towards ACA/ACCA.
• Strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Experience with cloud accounting software (Xero/QuickBooks).

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients delivering a high standard of service.
• Prepare statutory financial statements for various entities.
• Produce accurate and timely management accounts.
• Prepare personal tax returns and assist with P11Ds.
• Attend client meetings and build relationships with directors.
