Job summary

Sharp Consultancy in Barnsley is expanding its audit team and seeks an Audit Semi Senior to support audits from planning to completion, working with owner-managed and larger clients. You’ll gain exposure to accounts and broader client work, with regular client contact to develop technical knowledge and confidence in a client-facing environment.

This role suits someone with practice experience who is looking to take the next step in their audit career.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice.
• AAT qualification or part-qualified ACCA/ACA.
• Good understanding of accounting and audit principles.

Responsibilities

• Supporting audits from planning through to completion
• Preparing audit working papers and financial statements
• Carrying out testing across a range of audit areas
• Assisting with accounts preparation where required
• Working with a varied portfolio of clients
• Building strong relationships with clients and responding to queries
• Supporting more senior members of the audit team
• Identifying issues and communicating these to the wider team
• Developing your technical knowledge across audit and accounts
