You will manage client portfolios, prepare year-end accounts, handle bookkeeping and VAT, assist with salaries and dividends, and offer tax guidance. Excellent communication and organisation are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience within an accountancy practice.
• Experience with sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Experience preparing accounts, bookkeeping and VAT returns.
• Good knowledge of UK accounting and tax compliance.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA part-qualified would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements.
• Bookkeeping, including bank reconciliations.
• Preparing VAT and tax returns.
• Supporting with salaries and dividends.
• Providing clients with accounting and tax guidance.
• Monitoring client cash positions and providing financial advice.
• Building strong, long-term client relationships.
• Managing workloads and ensuring deadlines are met.
