Job summary

Recruitment Solutions (NW) Ltd is supporting an established accountancy practice to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior. You will prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, manage quarterly VAT returns, assist with corporation tax computations and self‑assessments, and support daily accounting tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice is essential.
• Experience preparing accounts for a range of clients.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting processes.
• Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or similar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparing and reviewing quarterly VAT returns
• Assisting with corporation tax computations and returns
• Preparing self-assessment tax returns
• Supporting clients with their day-to-day accounting requirements
• Assisting with the development and improvement of financial processes
• Keeping up to date with accounting regulations and best practice
• Building strong relationships with clients and providing a high level of service

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
• Experience preparing accounts for a range of clients
• Good knowledge of accounting and financial reporting processes
• Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or similar
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• AAT, or working towards a relevant accountancy qualification, would be advantageous
