As a Semi Senior Accountant, you'll work across a varied portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients, gaining broad exposure to accounts, tax and day-to-day client work.
The role is designed to give you a strong grounding in the core technical aspects of practice while gradually increasing your involvement in client advisory work. You’ll ideally have several years of experience within a UK practice environment and be studying towards, or working towards, an AAT, ACCA or ACA qualification.
We're looking for someone who is technically capable but also wants to develop their commercial and advisory skills. You should enjoy speaking with clients, understanding their businesses and becoming more involved in the decisions behind the numbers.
You’ll also bring:
The accountancy firm has a genuine people-first culture, with staff development and job satisfaction viewed as an important part of its continued success.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop technically while gradually taking on more client advisory responsibility, working alongside experienced professionals and gaining greater exposure to business owners.
The firm is continuing to grow, meaning there is scope to progress your career, take on greater responsibility and contribute to the development of both the client offering and wider team.
The Hitchin team is looking for a motivated Semi Senior who wants to become more than a technical accounts preparer - someone who wants to develop into a confident client adviser while helping those around them progress too.
