Job summary

Oadby Plastics, a long-standing plastics manufacturer near Leicester, is seeking a hands-on Team Leader in our Semi Finished department. You will lead by example, coach operators and ensure production runs safely, efficiently and on time across rotating shifts.

You will plan workloads, monitor KPIs, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with other departments to meet customer requirements. Relevant experience in manufacturing and a good command of English, Maths and IT are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor or senior production role is desirable.
• Strong communication and people management skills.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
• Solid understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and supporting the Semi Finished team.
• Ensuring production targets, quality standards and KPIs are achieved.
• Planning workloads and coordinating resources across the department.
• Promoting safe working practices and carrying out safety checks.
• Training and developing team members, including new starters.
• Resolving day to day production issues and driving continuous improvement.
• Completing production reporting and maintaining accurate records.
• Working closely with other departments to meet customer requirements.
