Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Class Teaching Assistant to join a brand new school in Andover, Hampshire. The role is full-time, term-time only, with a salary of £21,257.48 to £23,232.69 per year.

You will mentor one pupil or a small group, support the teacher, report on progress, supervise during non-classroom time, assist with planning and marking, and build positive student relationships. Qualifications

• Strong basic education, ideally A-level, with GCSE Grade C in English and Maths.
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant.
• Experience with SEMH in an educational setting.
• Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support one pupil or small group up to six.
• Support the Classroom Teacher during lessons.
• Report on pupils' progress and liaise with staff.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom time and trips.
• Assist with planning, preparation, and setting work.
• Build positive relationships to promote learning.
