SEMH Teaching Assistant

Remedy are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within a specialist setting based in Greenwich.

Join a fantastic team in a Ofsted-rated Outstanding Alternative Provision supporting pupils from KS1 to KS4 who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion. Contract Details for Teaching Assistant:

• Location: Greenwich
• Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant
• Type of Work: Teaching Assistant, 1:1 / Small-Group Support
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Type: Temp/Perm
• Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time
• Minimum rate of pay: 100 - 110 per hour

Experience, Training and Qualifications needed for Teaching Assistant role:

• Previous Teaching experience is required, ideally within the SEN Sector, although this is not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.
• Previous experience working with challenging behaviour would be advantageous.
• A passion for working with children with SEMH.
• Proactive in the classroom and a willingness to join in with class activities.
• You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude towards working with SEN students.
• NVQ/CACHE Level 3 Qualifications / Degree.

To be eligible you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional child-related references.
