Job summary

Engage Education is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant for a primary school in East Leeds. The role is a temporary contract working 08:30 to 15:30, Monday to Friday, term-time only, supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs.

You will assist teachers with differentiated activities, work 1:1 or in small groups, and help create an inclusive classroom where every pupil can thrive. DBS check provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting pupils with behavioural needs in a school or educational setting.
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups to access the curriculum.
• Assisting teachers with differentiated learning activities and interventions.
• Helping create an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
• Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs as part of a structured SEN programme.
