Job summary

Masterclass Education are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support a SEMH-focused secondary school in Lancing, West Sussex. You will work with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, assisting the class teacher and helping maintain a safe, positive learning environment.

The role offers weekly PAYE pay at £89/day, Monday to Friday, with CPD online training and ongoing professional development through Masterclass Learning portal. Start date ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Support children's development across all areas of development.
• Support and encourage positive behaviour management.
• Work with an individual (1-1) to support the class teacher in specific lessons.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment enabling pupils to feel relaxed and happy.
• To establish positive relationships with the children and staff within the school.
• To be committed to inclusive practice and making sure every child has the chance to be the best they can be.
• To be able to provide personal care if needed.
