Job Description:

EYFS-KS1 SEMH Teaching Assistant

Key Information:

  • Full Time
  • Hours: 8:30 – 15:00
  • Weekly Pay
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour.
  • Term time only

The role:

A reputable school in Toxteth (L8) is seeking a nurturing and approachable individual with a strong SEMH background, excellent organisational and communication skills, capable of supporting teachers both within and outside the classroom. The candidate will focus on maintaining a positive learning environment for pupils with additional SEMH needs across EYFS-KS1 classes. Previous experience working with children with SEMH is preferred but not essential.

  • Adapt support based on pupils' needs.
  • Support pupils' learning and social skills.
  • Intervene in challenging situations.
  • Assist with phonics, literacy, and numeracy interventions.
