Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Job Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner if available)
Salary: £13.75 - £14.25 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

We are a warm and welcoming primary school in the heart of Chorley, looking for a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our Reception team. This is more than just a support role – it’s a chance to help shape the first steps of a child’s learning journey.
Supporting the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum through play, exploration, and structured activities
Leading small group sessions in early literacy and numeracy, including phonics
Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
Observing, assessing, and recording children’s development in line with EYFS outcomes
Offering individual support to children with additional needs where required
Someone with a genuine passion for working with young children
Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent)
Experience in a nursery, preschool, or primary EYFS setting
Knowledge of EYFS Framework and early phonics schemes (e.g., RWI or Jolly Phonics)
A team player with a positive attitude and a nurturing approach
An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain one
A friendly, supportive team and leadership who value every member of staff
A beautifully resourced indoor and outdoor EYFS environment
