Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support students with social, emotional and mental health needs in Stamford and Oakham. The role involves working with teachers to help students engage with lessons and build emotional wellbeing.

Experience in SEMH or behavioral support is essential, with a compassionate, patient approach and ability to adapt to different classrooms, especially in a supply capacity.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEMH or behavioral needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of de-escalation, restorative practices, and behavior strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small group SEMH support.
• Assist with behavior management to promote positive behavior.
• Support classroom management and lesson delivery.
• Offer emotional and pastoral support to students.
