Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd in Wakefield is seeking an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to support students with social, emotional and mental health needs in a specialist setting. You will help manage challenging behaviour, promote engagement and build positive relationships with pupils throughout the school day.

This contract role offers full and part-time options, PAYE pay, and on-site working. The successful candidate will be patient, adaptable and collaborative, with a track record of supporting

Qualifications

Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
Experience working within an education, SEND or alternative provision setting.
Strong behaviour management skills.
Ability to build positive and professional relationships with students.
Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
