Position Overview:

Long-Term Teachers are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to work with a specialist school just outside of Yeovil. Opened in September 2024, this school supports students aged 5 - 16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs as well as Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties.

Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable SEMH Teaching Assistant to join the team on a supply basis, offering flexibility while making a real impact in a supportive educational environment.

Requirements:
  • Experience supporting children with SEMH needs, either in a school or care setting.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Resilience and confidence in managing challenging behaviour.
  • A positive and flexible mindset, ready to adapt to different classroom environments.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to support both students and colleagues.
