Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH Specialist) to provide daily supply support in Plymouth's primary and secondary settings. You will work with pupils facing SEMH challenges, offering learning strategies, emotional support, and positive behaviour guidance.

The role offers flexible day-to-day placements, a structured schedule (8:30 AM–3:30 PM), and competitive PAYE pay of £92.56–£95 per day, with the chance to make a tangible difference in local schools.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young adults with SEMH, EBD, or complex SEN needs.
• Strong behaviour management skills with a patient, non-judgemental, and adaptable approach.
• Training in Team-Teach or price/de-escalation strategies is highly desirable, but not essential.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

Are you an empathetic, resilient SEN Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work in Plymouth? We are currently recruiting dedicated SEMH Specialists to support children and young people across local primary and secondary schools in the area on a day-to-day supply basis.
