Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH Specialist) in Plymouth on a day-to-day supply basis. You will support pupils facing SEMH challenges, helping them access the curriculum and develop self-regulation in collaborative school settings.

You will work with teachers and SENCOs to tailor support plans, using proactive strategies to manage behaviours and promote positive learning outcomes across local primary and secondary schools.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young adults with SEMH, EBD, or complex SEN needs.
• Strong behaviour management skills with a patient, non-judgemental, and adaptable approach.
• Training in Team-Teach or price/de-escalation strategies is highly desirable, but not essential.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

Are you an empathetic, resilient SEN Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work in Plymouth? We are currently recruiting dedicated SEMH Specialists to support children and young people across local primary and secondary schools in the area on a day-to-day supply basis.
