Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd, in partnership with Smart Teachers, is seeking a caring SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH provision in Northolt, West London. This full-time role supports primary pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, liaising with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff to deliver a holistic approach that helps children gain confidence and progress academically. Start date: September 2026. Salary: £500-£510 per week.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEMH and/or SEND (desirable but not essential)
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable nature
  • A genuine commitment to helping children thrive both inside and outside the classroom
  • Availability for full-time work (Mon-Fri, 8:15am-4:00pm)

Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support across the primary age range
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction
  • Supporting children's academic progress alongside their emotional and personal growth

SEMH Teaching Assistant

Smart Teachers are working in Partnership with an Ofsted rated "Outstanding" Primary SEMH School and are seeking a caring, resilient and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH provision in Northolt, West London. The school supports children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), with a strong focus on helping pupils manage their social, emotional and behavioural needs alongside their academic development.

This is a nurturing, supportive environment where staff work closely together to give every child the chance to flourish, gain confidence, and develop the skills they need for the future.
