Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment in Harlow is seeking enthusiastic SEMH and Alternative Provision Teaching Assistants to support children aged 5-11 with additional needs, including SEMH, ADHD, PTSD and ASD. You will work across Harlow in supportive settings to help pupils thrive.

You will collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging activities, promote social skills and resilience, and maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment. This role offers rewarding work making a real difference each day.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Patience, empathy and resilience are important to support children with additional needs.
• Previous experience is a bonus but full training will be provided.

We're looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team in SEMH schools and Alternative Provision settings across Harlow.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people aged 5-11 with additional needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health), ADHD, PTSD, ASD and challenging behaviours.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting pupils with additional needs in their learning and personal development
• Working closely with class teachers to create engaging and interactive activities

• Maintaining a safe, supportive and nurturing learning environment

The role:

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, term time only
