Vacancy for SEMH Teacher of Maths

(Internal Alternative Provisions)

Start date: ASAP

Full time, permanent

FTE salary: MPS/UPS

We are a Multi Academy Trust comprising six secondary schools, one primary school, and two internal alternative provisions, with over 700 employees and more than 5,000 students, based in Dudley and Staffordshire in the West Midlands.

At Invictus, we are values-driven and believe in the motto ‘anything is possible’. Our alternative provision estate supports learners to share this ethos; young people who are most vulnerable are supported to flourish and succeed. Greenhill Alternative Learning Campus in Halesowen and Invictus Revive Learning Centre at Leasowes aim to support young people in KS3 and 4 who have been unable to achieve in mainstream settings.

We are seeking a Teacher of Maths to teach small groups of young people with social, emotional, and mental health issues. You will be supported by a dedicated team of support staff and leaders in a collaborative approach to secure the best academic outcomes for young people.

Requirements:
  • A qualified teacher capable of delivering a broad, balanced, relevant, and adapted curriculum to small groups of vulnerable students.
  • Strong subject knowledge, with the ability to design and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Ability to facilitate a learning environment that helps students achieve their potential and meet individual needs.
  • Proficiency in restorative conversations to foster positive relationships and progress.
  • Commitment to the achievement of vulnerable or at-risk young people.
