Job Title: Maths Teacher

Salary: £180 - £200 (Depending on experience)

Teacher Active is proud to work with schools in Hereford that support vulnerable children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, including Anxiety, trauma, and challenging behaviour. The schools cater to students with needs such as disruptive behaviour, ADHD, and Autism.

The schools pride themselves on offering support to their students by creating a calm and supportive atmosphere, encouraging students to believe, achieve, and succeed. Building strong relationships with teachers helps these schools achieve outstanding performance and results, ensuring quality outcomes for their students.

As a SEMH Maths Teacher, you will work with students through various methods, including outdoor activities and engaging teaching strategies. You will be a key figure in their lives, finding fun and unique ways to engage children in the classroom.

The schools are looking for a SEMH Teacher available for day-to-day, short-term, and long-term placements. They offer valuable experience to help you grow as a teacher, with market-leading rates. Our experienced SEND Consultants will find placements that match your availability, preferences, and skills.

The ideal Maths / SEMH Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and at least 6 months' experience teaching Maths
• A calm and caring demeanor
• Flexibility to cover last-minute class needs due to staff sickness or training
• Ability to follow pre-planned lessons and create your own activities and resources when needed
• Skills to adapt tasks to meet individual student needs
• Effective behaviour management skills
• Good communication skills with staff
