Job summary

Justteachers in the United Kingdom is seeking a full-time SEMH Teacher to start in September 2026. The role is long-term, temporary to permanent for the right candidate, and based at a specialist provision just outside of Boston, for pupils aged 7–16 with SEMH needs.

You will deliver core subjects (English, Maths and PSHE) with appropriate differentiation, focus on emotional regulation, engagement and re-integration into learning, and work with teaching assistants and external professionals to

Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour.
Ability to teach core subjects at a functional and differentiated level.
Strong behaviour management and a calm, consistent approach.
A resilient, patient and adaptable mindset.
Two recent education-based references.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across core subjects to meet a wide range of abilities.
Support pupils in overcoming barriers to learning linked to SEMH needs.
Implement EHCP outcomes and personalized support strategies.
Use consistent behaviour management and de-escalation techniques.
Foster a structured, supportive and nurturing classroom environment.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches as needed.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral teams, and external professionals.
Support pupils’ development in social skills, emotional regulation, and resilience.
