Job summary

Machu Specialist Education is recruiting an SEMH Teacher for a welcoming SEMH school in Hayes, Middlesex, supporting pupils with EHCPs and SEMH needs.

This role involves planning and delivering differentiated lessons, using trauma-informed approaches to help pupils regulate and re-engage, and working in a supportive team with SENCOs and therapists. You’ll also line-manage teaching assistants to maximise pupil progress.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent required.
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEMH, SEND or other complex needs.
  • Calm, empathetic approach and genuine passion for inclusive education.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (or have Update Service DBS).
