Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a specialist setting in Chigwell, Essex. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with an immediate start and potential temp or temp-to-perm opportunities.

You will support pupils academically and pastorally, helping them develop confidence, positive relationships and progress. QTS is preferred, though experienced unqualified teachers will also be considered.

Qualifications

• QTS preferred, although unqualified teachers with SEN/SEMH, behaviour or specialist education experience will be considered.
• Experience with SEMH, behavioural or specialist education needs is valued.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in a specialist SEMH setting.
• Provide pastoral support and positive role modelling to help pupils engage and progress.
• Work alongside support staff to help pupils achieve their potential and manage behaviour calmly.

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a dedicated and resilient Teacher to join a specialist SEMH setting, supporting children and young people who may have experienced difficulties within mainstream education.

This is a genuinely rewarding opportunity to make a real difference.

• You will support pupils both academically and pastorally, helping them develop confidence, self-belief and positive relationships.
• The pupils may have a range of SEMH, behavioural and additional learning needs, requiring a personalised, consistent and nurturing approach.
• Building positive relationships will be central to helping pupils engage, learn and progress.
• You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, provide pastoral support and positive role modelling, manage behaviour calmly and consistently, and work alongside support staff to help pupils achieve their potential.

QTS is preferred, although unqualified teachers with relevant SEN/SEMH, behaviour or specialist education experience will also be considered.
