Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting SEMH Teaching Assistants and Support Staff to work in specialist schools across Birmingham. Daily supply and long-term opportunities available. We’re looking for confident, resilient and patient individuals who can support pupils with SEMH needs.

Experience with challenging behaviour, emotional regulation and de-escalation is highly desirable. Transferable experience from youth work, care settings or security roles is welcome and can be a great fit.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour.
• Calm, consistent and confident approach.
• SEMH or behaviour-support experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH needs in specialist schools.
• Maintain boundaries and build positive relationships with pupils.

We're looking for confident, resilient and patient individuals who can support pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Experience with challenging behaviour, emotional regulation and de-escalation is highly desirable.

Transferable experience is welcome! If you've worked in residential care, youth work, sports coaching, security, the prison service, the police, the armed forces or similar roles, your skills could be a great fit.
