Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Teaching Assistant to work in Ealing. The role involves supporting pupils with SEMH and neurodiversity, building positive relationships, and aiding emotional regulation.

You will work with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to promote engagement and student achievement. The position offers full-time temporary employment with a day rate of £110–£130, starting September, in a supportive school environment with ongoing

Qualifications

Experience with SEMH, SEND, neurodiversity or behavioural needs.
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
Calm, patient and empathetic approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to build relationships with students and staff.
Passion for supporting vulnerable learners.

Responsibilities

Support pupils with SEMH needs and neurodiverse profiles both in and outside the classroom
Build positive relationships that promote trust, confidence, and engagement
Help manage challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, sensory needs, and social development
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, pastoral staff, and external professionals
Encourage student participation, independence, and achievement
Provide 1:1 and small group support where required
