Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting Learning Mentors in Rochdale to support vulnerable young people. This full-time position starts in September 2026, offering potential for permanence.

The role involves building relationships with students experiencing social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, supporting their reintegration into mainstream education, and collaborating with teachers and caregivers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months' experience supporting children or young people
• Experience with SEMH or SEND is desirable
• Full UK driving licence is desirable, but not essential

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH, SEND, and behavioural needs
• Build strong relationships with pupils
• Assist with reintegration into mainstream schools
• Travel between sites as required
• Promote positive behaviour and resilience
• Collaborate with teachers and external agencies
