Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD is seeking a dedicated SEMH support worker for an EYFS setting in Mansfield, UK. This role focuses on supporting pupils facing barriers to learning and requires sensitivity, patience, and resilience.

You will work closely with teachers, manage behaviour, build trust-based relationships, help students regulate emotions, and re-engage with education. This is a full-time, long-term role with daily pay between 95 and 105 GBP, with strong training and support.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, behavioural needs, or similar challenges.
• Calm, consistent, and patient approach to working with vulnerable learners.
• Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills.
• Understanding of trauma-informed practice or willingness to learn.
• Proactive and flexible mindset.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Support students who face barriers to learning due to SEMH in EYFS.
• Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to manage behaviour and build trust-based relationships.
• Help students regulate emotions and re-engage with education.
• Provide 1:1 or small group support depending on pupil needs.
