Job summary

The Mast is seeking an Educational Support Assistant at Birdsedge First School, part of The Mast Academy Trust, to support pupils with SEMH needs and SEND, fostering positive relationships and learning engagement.

You will work with teaching staff, deliver targeted interventions, and promote emotional wellbeing while helping children develop confidence and resilience in their learning environment. Visits welcomed.

• Has experience of working with children or young people.
• Can build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Is patient, resilient and adaptable.
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs, working with individual pupils and small groups.
• Deliver targeted interventions and promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Help children engage successfully with learning.
• Work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to support pupils.
