Job summary

Vision For Education Ltd. is recruiting a Children’s Mental Health Assistant in Wigan for a term-time only, temporary position. The role focuses on supporting pupils with SEMH needs, working alongside teachers to foster emotional wellbeing and progress in learning.

The position offers excellent daily PAYE rates (£100-£120) based on experience and qualifications, with a November 2026 start date. It provides a structured school environment, CPD, and supportive working relationships.

Qualifications

• Have experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable individuals, ideally with SEMH or mental health needs
• Be patient, adaptable and empathetic, able to respond effectively to each pupil’s emotional and educational needs
• Be committed to promoting pupils’ wellbeing, resilience and personal development
• Be reliable, proactive and a strong team player, contributing positively to the school community

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH needs and contribute to their wellbeing and learning progress
• Collaborate closely with teachers to provide individualised support
• Build meaningful relationships with pupils through consistent, supportive interaction
• Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment and pupil development
