Nyland is an SEMH Primary School in Swindon for children with social, emotional and mental health needs. We are seeking an inspirational, self-motivated Specialist Teaching Assistant to join us and help students reach their potential.

Hours total 35 per week, term time only; Mon, Wed, Thu 08:30-15:50, Tue 08:30-16:30, Fri 08:30-14:30. Start ASAP. We offer a welcoming, supportive environment with CPD through The White Horse Federation.

Qualifications

• Experienced working in a school environment.
• Enthusiastic and eager to help students learn.
• Tolerant and compassionate with a good sense of humour.
• A strong team-player.
• Experienced in working with students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

Responsibilities

• Support students in their learning within an SEMH setting.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to deliver learning activities.
• Promote inclusion, wellbeing and positive behaviour in the classroom.
