Job summary

Nyland School in Swindon is seeking an inspirational and committed Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. The role focuses on supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs to help them reach their potential in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

We offer term-time hours (35 per week) and a pro-rata salary within the WHFNJC L grade, reflecting experience and dedication. Start ASAP, join us to contribute to high-quality learning and wellbeing.

  • Support learning activities and individual students in class.

  • Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Vacancy Details

The Hours: 35 hours, term time only.

Working hours: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 08:30-15:50pm, Tuesdays from 08:30 to 16:30pm and Fridays from 08:30 to 14:30pm.

Salary: Salary grade: WHFNJC L - Actual Pro-rata salary £22,191.46 to £25,234.88.

Start date: ASAP

Nyland is an SEMH Primary School in Swindon for children with social, emotional and mental health needs. We aim to build an ethos of emotional awareness and understanding and we celebrate the diversity and uniqueness in our school.

In our most recent OFSTED inspection the school was judged as strong in the area of Inclusion and Personal Development and Well-Being and at expected standard in all other areas, the inspection team found no areas of the inspection that required improvement - a testament to the dedication and passion of our entire team and school community.

We couldn't do what we do without our fantastic staff team, and we are looking for an inspirational, self-motivated and committed Teaching Assistant to join us.
