Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is assisting a welcoming primary school in Greater London to recruit a SEND Teaching & Learning Assistant with an SEMH focus. You will support pupils with SEMH needs, help manage behaviour and support learning in a specialist provision.

You will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to deliver tailored support plans, build positive relationships and contribute to a calm, nurturing environment. Salary around £30,000 with ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs.
• Strong behaviour management and resilience.
• Calm, patient and adaptable with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to pupils with SEMH needs.
• Assist in managing behaviour and implementing intervention strategies.
• Support learning within a small, specialist provision.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to promote engagement and progress.
• Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to deliver tailored support plans.
• Help create a safe, consistent, and nurturing environment.
