Job summary

The Merton SEND Support and Inclusion Service is seeking a Specialist SEMH Teacher to support pupils with SEMH needs and to help colleagues enhance practice through inclusive, high-quality teaching.

This one-year fixed-term post offers opportunities to contribute to whole-school inclusion across primary and secondary settings, with emphasis on professional development and collaborative practice.

Qualifications

• Recent classroom teaching experience.
• Experience developing whole-school approaches to inclusion.
• Ability to improve outcomes for vulnerable pupils through inclusive teaching.
• Experience supporting colleagues to develop practice and promote SEND outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support schools through the expert at hand model outlined in SEND reforms.
• Develop and deliver whole-school approaches to inclusion across primary and secondary settings.
