Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting an SEMH Teaching Assistant in Bedford for a September start. You will provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs, helping them engage and regulate emotions within a safe, structured environment.

Great candidates will have experience with additional needs or challenging behaviour, a calm, patient approach, and a willingness to obtain/enjoy an Enhanced DBS. Role offers flexible long-term/daily opportunities and local consultant support.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people with additional needs or challenging behaviour.
• Patient, resilient and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils.
• Proactive, reliable and committed to supporting every child's progress.
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
