Prospero Teaching is recruiting a dedicated SEMH Primary Teacher to work in Pontefract on a temporary, term-time contract starting 2 November. You will deliver differentiated lessons and support pupils with SEMH needs.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, restorative approaches, and collaboration with families and external professionals. QTS is essential; experience with SEND and behaviour management is required.

Qualifikationen

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Understanding of SEND, SEMH and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Ability to build positive relationships and inspire vulnerable learners.
• Experience with differentiated instruction and trauma-informed approaches.

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Adapt teaching to meet individual learning, behavioural and emotional needs.
• Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress.
• Maintain high expectations for achievement and behaviour.
• Build positive relationships with pupils using restorative approaches.
• Support pupils to develop emotional regulation, resilience and social skills.
• Collaborate with families and external professionals.
• Promote safeguarding and inclusion in all activities.
