Job summary

Manor House School is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support professional to help pupils with SEMH needs feel safe, understood and ready to succeed. Using a trauma-informed approach, you will provide tailored pastoral support, mentor pupils, and help those on personalised timetables.

You will build trusted relationships with families and collaborate closely with school staff. You will deliver targeted interventions to develop emotional regulation, resilience, social skills and wellbeing, monitor

Qualifications

• Experience delivering pastoral support to pupils with SEMH needs.
• Ability to build trusted, therapeutic relationships with pupils and families.
• Experience planning targeted interventions for emotional wellbeing.
• A genuine desire to make a positive difference to children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting, consistent relationships with pupils to support safety and understanding.
• Act as a key adult, delivering daily emotional support, mentoring and advocacy.
• Deliver interventions that develop emotional regulation, resilience and self-esteem.
• Plan and evaluate bespoke interventions for pupils with individual plans.
• Monitor progress, review targets and adapt support as needs change.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, therapists and external professionals.
• Maintain accurate records of interventions and progress.
• Contribute to review meetings and recommend ongoing support.
